what is the height of a 1998 U270

I was wondering what the actual height of a 1998 U270? Has anyone measured their coach. When I get back to mine I will measure it and report back the height. Thank you John

my 99 34 foot was 11' 6"

My 2002 36ft U320 is 11' 6' and will go into a 12' roll up garage door in a 14' building where it is stored when not on the road.

With properly adjusted ride height and a level coach, 11' 6" to top of our 1998 U270's AC's.
We have an In-Motion Sat. Dome that is 2" higher (11'  8" overall).  We clear the 12' OH door (into the warehouse) just fine.  Our 12' X 12' OH door makes it easy to recall what works while going down the road at posted toll booths and overpasses.

If there is any doubt about the 11' 8" height, here is a Youtube  2 minute video worth watching.  Not sure if it has to do with added height from repaving, but this video has added to my caution level.

I use 12 foot on my coach even though my 320 has an inmotion dome and that makes it 11 8 as you said.  I like to have a bit of clearance for the antennas. I can go in a 12 foot door and not hit them so if I do hit I know it is much closer than I want to hear or be.

OMG! This video makes me want to mount a laser level inline with the top of the air-conditioner with the remote button handy from the cockpit!

How high is a coach?...

What extra height is added by things that have been added to the roof?

How high did the last repaving job raise the road and did they adjust the sign?

Hit a bump as you go under and what is your actual re-bound height?

What about those antennas?  VHF CB Cellular Wi-Fi?

Just to add to the low bridge paranoia.

If there is a Vee in the road under a bridge,, which means the front and rear wheels are higher, and there is a big gap under the centre of the coach,

Thats the equivalent of making your coach 13 or 14 feet high in the middle, Its happy Paranoia day,

13-14'?  "That" scenario over a 42' max. length, is a gully- a trench- a crevasse!
 not a U.S. road................I hope.

I dont know about the USA, but we have them here,  Call them what you will, Gully, Trench, Dip, Usually under bridges,  These are side roads, not the main Highways,

A sweeping low level area,  Going sideways, Trucks and Buses get caught all the time under them, Usually taking out the top of buses or container trucks, The longer you are the worse and harder you will get stuck,

Another catch for beginners, The water looks very shallow when they flood, , But may be 3 feet deep in the middle,
Plenty of cars get stuck in the middle of them,

Fun to hit on a motorcycle at about a buck fifty... Especially at night in the desert when the temp is about 20 degrees lower in the dip.
