2002 Junk title coach

Not sure where to put this (help)
I found this last week and did quite a bit of research on it but not sure this coach can be legally put on the road. I talk to the owner a few times also and it seems he is at a loss also. He thinks a person might be able to use the FT id number and do a assembled title. Good price though . I used to buy wrecked Harleys and fix and retitle but this coached was branded as non rebuildable by Progressive insurance and once that happens every state I checked will not rebrand or retitle , I did not check all 50 states but did check quite a few and most have the same laws on this. So this is my conclusion, if you had a dealer tag to put on it ,but it still wouldnt be legal ,but most likely you would never be caught as it would take some checking, but if you were involved in a accident you would prolly be in deep elcrappo, just thaught I would post as maybe someone needs a classy yard orniment or man cave, http://www.rvonline.com/single-ad.asp?Recnumber=58999 Adam

Adam, You might check Georgia rebuilder laws.  I have bought and rebuilt cars that had totaled titles.  In GA you rebuild the vehicle but leave it in primer and then take it to a state qualified  inspection station.  If it passes a  NEW title is issued.  The title does not state that it was a total but a look at vehicle history will state SALVAGE HISTORY. On cars you are required to have receipts for all parts including used parts such as airbags etc, this keeps the thieves away to a degree. I will check with a friend this week as he is a qualified rebuilder but in the meantime I would suggest that you do a search of GA Title laws on the web.
Good Luck

And a couple of months before that as well (I just now merged the two old topics)
