Need Sharp 1870 oven body depth measurement

May I ask a favor of someone with the OEM Sharp 1870 convection microwave in your coach?

I need the body depth (not including door) to help me decide if the new Advantium would work in our coach.  We have a cabinet to the left of the current microwave and we don't store the coach at home or I'd check for myself.  I'm trying to take advantage of a sale that's ending ;)

As you can see in the photo below, the cabinet face and oven body pretty much line up now, so that's my point of reference.

The selected media item is not currently available.

I'm pretty sure we'd have to space/shim the new model off the outside wall; I'm just trying to figure out how much (and if that would work).

Thanks!

Michelle

Ours it 14 inches from the wall to the edge of the oven, not including the door. This would put it exactly at the edge of the cabinet as I think we have the same set up.

I just repaired an 1870 and it is sitting on the bench. The depth from the back of the microwave only (Not mounted. No back panel)is 13 5/8". I believe that the 1850 has the same frame and covers. When that is mounted, an 1850 is14 1/16" off the wall.

Where is the sale and how much. I want two of them. One for the coach and one for the new house. I just priced one on sale at Home Depot for $806 but it had to be ordered.

Thanks Gary and Tom for the measurements!  GE calls for 13" cabinet depth so some minor shimming/spacer will be required but is do-able.

That price is just slightly higher than we can get the Cafe trim level 1201 OTR Advantium (employee pricing through a deal we signed up for years ago).  Darn, I thought we were "special" :P

I see a new oven in my future ;)

If anyone is interested I have a brand new Kitchen Aid microwave convection oven that has never been used....still in the box. I bought it in November 2012. It is a standard over the range size, black with stainless steel interior. Cost was $550....I am asking $425.
