Residential fridge, what to do with gas lines

In process of putting in kitchenaid side by side cabinet depth refrigerator.
Has anyone encountered the gas lines shortening the depth by 2 inches?
If so,  did you move the gas lines or how did you handle them. Gas lines are too far forward, should be back closer to the back wall  Will post full description of processes along with photos later. Refrigerator arrives Thursday

when I did the fridge change I disconnected the line at the manifold. On my 295 it is the second one down. I plugged the manifold with I think it was 3/4" plug and then cut the pipe were it came out the floor at fridge rear, gone gone.

For those who put a large refer in and removed the storage area under their Dometic, what is left on the floor that would prevent my new refer from resting on the floor?

Was the plumbing just for the refrigerator of for more than that?

Was it parallel to and next to the outside wall (hopefully ;o)?

How high above the floor?

They built a platform about 4" high to get over the plumbing from the sink drain & pressure lines.
The space I lost was not lost at all, it is now in cold storage, having the 24 cf refrig.

Don't you have all the Intellitec wiring and the three 12v fuse panels down there like I do?

I know of one 12v panel at the foot of the bed and a 2nd one in the bay next to the house batteries, but the 3rd one escapes me.

Since I just learned yesterday that my steering column telescopes, too, perhaps #3 12v will be the latest mystery revealed to me on FT features.

Now if I could just find ALL of the dang light switches ... ;o)

The year of your 42 had the intellitec lighting. The 36 and 40 foot did not

Yes, he told me the same thing, but the install was $2500 plus the cost of the fridge.

Considering the price of the Dometic plus install on a U320 that's about a break even... 4 to 5 coach bucks. As a friend from Newport Beach once said - "That's BUS FARE!"

My counter depth Haier was 1300    Tax included. Hoping for install less than $1,000 since all demons ions the same except need to take out space below refrigerator and build new floor to support. If so , I will be 1-2 coach bucks ahead, with other benefits that I value.

Will post results around May 1 after install at Parliament.

In very round numbers, the Refrig $2200.00. Install $1200.00 Turned out fine for me, as usual, give it a shot, maybe you will like it as I do.
Once the original is out, its too late to get off the pot ;D

there is not a lot of room down there for the 2 volt system. I am glad I am at FT and they have done this before.  They have a huge wire bundle plus the breakers and a electric box too.  they make a platform adn screw it down then they screw the fridge to it and put on hinges up top too.
