Dash drawer stuck

The cup/ pencil drawer in the center of our dash is stuck , the small black button does not seem to release the retaining latch .
I thought I remember reading a similar problem and cure but cannot find the thread .

That is not one thing I have dealt with yet. Do you have a door under it for more access?

Jimmy... this may be the thread you're thinking of... the mechanism of the console drawer itself in some 2002 and 2003 coaches was discussed - with photos.  Hope this helps!

Yes that's it , thank you . Previous owner installed a DVD to underside of drawer so I wil have to remove that to get a better look .
