Anything back here behind the sofa?

Since we will be traveling with a young curious cat, I'm going to put a light barrier up to keep her from getting behind the sofa. I can attach it at the bottom to the piece of plywood, and I'm thinking that a small "L" bracket attached to the wall will hold it at the top. Is there any problem with using, say, a 1/2 inch wood screw on that wall? This is right behind the driver's seat.

That's what we did with the mpg, and it worked fairly well. We're wanting something a little more permanent now. I've got a piece of perfboard that I'm going to cut to size. Jo Ann hasn't decided yet whether she's going to cover it with cloth or leave as is. I suspect that we'll try it as is to start, and maybe later she'll cover it, especially if we end up recovering the sofa.

Friend LOST her cat for 17 days this winter, as she went to load up and lifted the bed, there was cat, must have found way into engine area and then under bed, was hungry but not starved.  That's why I have dogs,  no lets not start the dog versus cat thing I know the dogs win. :-(

Gary, that's part of the reason for a non-slide coach. Our cat is strictly an indoor cat, so she will either be in the house (when we're here) or in the coach (when we're on the road). I want to keep her out of the front furnace area. Too many "interesting toys" for her there.

Ours went thru the same space behind the sofa. :headwall:
We had to extract her thru the air return vent below the stove.
We stuff a pillow there now.

Rocket discovered the opening on the end of the couch right after we brought the coach home. After we finally found him (and he was quite proud of his new hiding place) I immediately cut a wedge shaped piece of white pine board and a small piece of 1/4" plywood. Stained both pieces, fastened the plywood along the bottom edge of the pine board and the inside edge of the couch base. No more hiding place for Rocket. He does go and check occasionally, and then gives me a dirty accusatory look. I get over it.
