A/C & Generator up and running-wohoo!

This is such a good forum for sharing information I wanted to join in and provide information on my recent fixes.
The coach A/C would not turn on at the thermostat.
1.  Checked for 12 Vdc at the stat: 0 Vdc
2.  Checked the 3 amp fuse at the unit on the roof: good
3.  Unplugged the elec. feed wires from the ckt. board and checked for dc voltage from the coach: 0 Vdc
4.  Called MOT: was informed about a DC panel behind the passenger side dash. News to me.
5.  Looked for wire 108: found it hanging loose. Evidently the nut holding the ring lug on vibrated loose and came off.
6.  Power restored.

The Generator would run for 20 minutes and shut off. No faults except on the dash. Would not start and run after that. Would run great the next day for 20 minutes, etc., etc.
1.  The problem seamed to fuel delivery.
2.  Engine fuel filter was just changed so I checked it off the list.
3  I could hear the fuel pump working so I checked it off the list.
4.  I had read here that there could be another filter in the feed line ahead of the pump. Started looking around and found another WIX filter under the coach just about directly under the passenger seat. I could see it looking around the right front tire. It looked very old.
5.  Replaced the filter
6.  Manipulate the off/start switch to get the fuel system primed- started the unit up and it ran fully loaded for 2 hours. yes!

I know these pale in comparison to what some of you folks do, but anyway.........

Excellent troubleshooting. It was awhile before I saw that filter down there also. It fools a lot of people. Dare I say it. "You CAN teach an Old Hippie a new trick"
