What's this for?

While removing the vacuum cleaner I found this little item hiding down under the refrigerator. The cord has three wires, and it goes back up the wall behind the refrigerator. Pushing the button turns on the display, which flashes two dashes (- -) a couple of times and the the HL flashes. After a minute or so the display goes blank. Any idea what it might be for? There is a 9v battery inside.

No idea, but it is interesting to learn just how many things are on these coaches, I think after 4 years I found about every thing inside the living area, still surprises in the bays.
Have not had any issues, so have not been looking yet.
Lots of fun

That would appear to have been added by a previous owner as I do not recall foretravel installing anything like that. Maybe goes to a fan?

Seen something like that before, and can't remember.  Something for Satellite antenna or something?

I think I have the same thing on my coach (from PO).  It's an angle sensor read out for the satellite antenna.  On mine the display is normally blank.  When I push the button the display shows the angle of the TV antenna parallel bars (which used to have the satellite antenna attached to it).  I've tried to think of other uses for it but haven't come up with anything yet.  I'm guessing "HL" stands for high limit - i.e. the sensor is beyond it's maximum angle limit.  I don't ever recall seeing that on mine but then I don't used it either.
