List of shops for service/repair of FTs

Is there a list of recommended shops with technicians having FT-related skills and training, either on foretravel.com or foreforums.com? Sure would be nice, organized by state. I guess this would mostly be the former FT dealers, but how would one find one of these shops when in dire need?

If you select the "Links" menu at the home page of Foreforums, it will take you to a page that contains all the information you need.

I would add the shops in the Coach Care Network - they have water/electric hookups and are qualified to handle most of the mechanical issues you are likely to encounter. They are largely Cummings dealers and many are certified for other HM systems. This link will give you more to peruse:

Owning a Foretravel is a lot like having a fine motorcar in the 1930s as many of them used engines and systems from Continental, Bendix, etc. I think about Packard every time I drive our coach - they share many of the same virtues :

Conservative engineering and classic styling,
Superb materials, fit and finish,
Built much better than anything else in their price range.

As their ads used to say "Ask the man who owns one".

Most are familiar with the first three options in Nacogdoches.  From time to time I am asked for the source of other services or alternative places for service in this area. This is a list for you. I have had work done at most of these places.

When I called these folk the reply I got from the service manager was: "Foretravel?? Hmmm long time since we saw one of those".  If you are expecting Mot or FoT standards of expertise I think you will be disappointed.

I  hope the purpose of my post is not misunderstood.  I did not mean to imply that others are better or equal MOT or FOT but I had service needs that they do not do and these other places can or may do those.  I am asked from time to time for that help and hoped this would be a value to those people needing generator engine rebuilds, engine work, tranny work near Nacogdoches.  Sorry if I misled folks on purpose of the post.

And I probably should have included Rudy for AH
and some tire places.
