Love the room in the engine bay..

Today I gave the bus a good look see since I'm taking the wife/kiddos to New Braunfels this weekend...
Looking over the engine I found a oily yellowish liquid on the curb  side of the engine.
I slid my finger in it and the oil has no smell at all so I know its not Diesel.
My coolant is red so it's not that.
Could it be compressor oil from AC or air compressor?? I don't know... But what I do know is,, I have so much room in the engine bay that I got down in there with a bottle of simple green, soaked the fuel pump, air compressor,Injector pump, filter housing, and the wall of the engine with room to move a round..I love this thing and it sure beats helping my buddy work on his converted Grayhound with a 2 stroke DD

Anyone ever had a ""SMALL"" amount of Yellowish oil running down the side of a 8.3 Cummins??

Did you add fresh oil to the engine? Fresh Delo 400 is a golden color. It is easy to spill a bit when adding to the engine.

The other possibility is a leak in the hydraulic system. The hydraulic system on our 1997 U295 uses Delo 400 oil. The oil retains its golden color. Check for leaks on the cooling fan motors. Also check for leaks on the hoses and fittings of the hydraulic system that powers the cooling fans and the power steering.

96u270,
Indeed, one of the many beauties of these Foretravel units, is the engine area with easy access to most every part of it.  When I took mine to Cummins shop, they were used to the units with the radiator across the back meaning all work was done either down thru the bed frame or up from the underside, so when they got a look at my coach, they about went nuts with joy. beside I raised it up to max so they could easy get under when the turbo change due to the exhaust flex, all joy.
Enjoy and having had a MCI 7 for over 20 years, I fully understand the work area in those babes.
Enjoy

Nope,
No oil change lately... I've never had any oil leaks so this should be a easy find.
The yellowish oil has no smell at all and does not match the hydraulic oil.. All hoses look fine 2
One question I do have is the air compressor.. Does this thing use engine oil to lube or compressor oil?? Anyone know? it looks to me like it might be AC compressor oil, I shall find out tomorrow.
