Propane Tank back In!

A little update on work in progress... Finished the propane compartment caulking and installed the propane tank, made a new mounting system for the regulator, and installed the sliding drawer which I removed from the storage compartment streetside. The drawer was a real pain to install because you can't remove the drawer from the frame so you have to deal with the whole weight of the thing while trying to support it to get the screws started. There is about a half of an inch to spare between the top of the propane tank in the bottom of the drawer. There was no room to put the air outlet where it used to be, so I mounted it to the bottom of the drawer frame. I used to wire wheel and the grinder to get rid of the rust off the bottom of the tank, primed it with self etching primer, and painted it with rustoleum prior to putting it in. I used some double stick tape to stick on some polyethylene runners on the bottom of the tank mounting flange to make it easier to slide in and hopefully isolate it from water that might collect in the bottom of the compartment.

Good pix, showing easy space for one or two additional 8D gel cell bats, think one in a welded frame bracket like the original batt racks, no refrig, no need for lp gas.

True enough... if you don't need it for hot water or heat ::) actually, you could easily stick four 8D's in there without even stacking them. Personally, I'm glad that we have such a capacious propane tank.

God point Don, however with the Aqua Hot and microwave, there is ZERO need or LP.
 BESIDES MY TANK IS ABOUT 15 gal, so easy for 1 bat, but could stack 2 of em too.

Unless you have a U270 like Don and Tys and have a propane furnace and hot water heater :-X

Great work (as usual) Don! The drawer assembly looks as if it's a really nice fit above the LP tank. We're sure you can't wait to actually begin having fun with your better-than-new motorhome!
