What does the Aux air compressor put air into?

When parked, leveled and slides out; what does the aux air compressor put air into. Is it slide or leveling system or does it keep air for the steps and awning? tks DAN

Aux Compressor will provide air for each of those systems.

Dan - it's not switched (at least ours isn't).  Were you thinking of pulling the inline fuse?  That would disable the slide bladder tank filling but I don't believe it affects the leveling use (if the coach needed to add air to level, the compressor would still come on when needed even without that fuse).

I believe that if the fuse is pulled the aux compressor will not run thereby not keeping air in the slide bladders and the leveling system - sleep mode.  The Zip Dee awning will also not work if it is automatic like mine.  Our aux. compressor comes on infrequently for about 1 minute at a time.  It comes on so infrequently that I can not remember when it ran last.  I have not resorted to pencil and paper to track.

I installed a SPST toggle switch on the little aux compressor, when I am parked for a while, let coach down on bottom, I keep the coach in my level, dry garage, so sitting down is just great.  The room seal stays tight, all is well for me.
When I am ready to depart, I flip the SPST back on and when it shuts off, I start the engine, bring in the room, and we are off. No muss or fuss.
YMMV

Scott,
Yep, been snug for about 6 weeks, since my last outting, the comressor runs every 6-8 hrs for about 45 seconds, so why the SPST.

Interesting that yours is like that.  In ours, there are 2 inputs and *if* the fuse is pulled it only affects the bladder operation (keeping the bladders inflated or allowing deflation so you can extend/retract the slide).  If the leveling needs air our aux compressor will still run even with the inline fuse pulled.

It appears there are variations between model years (and perhaps even within the same model year).

I put a toggle switch on the aux compressor so I could turn off when in storage but it may be off anyway when you turn off the 12 volt switch.  My compressor runs about 15 minutes every 12 hours.  DAN
