Kenny Lemon's Condition

Many of you know Kenny and Ann Lemon from Quartzsite and elsewhere. He has been an intricate part of the 4 Corners Chapter and many years of doing the "Gathering in the Desert". I don't think he will be doing it again next year.
I talked to Ann on Kennys progress. He was going in to get a knee replacement because he has been in pain along time over it.
When they got him in they found his heart was too weak and refused to do the surgery. He is getting a pacemaker installed.

"As for Kenney.  He has finally had all the tests that they needed.  He is scheduled to have a Bi-Ventrical Defibrilater (?) put in on Monday, June 24 at 12:30 PM.  It is a Defibrillator to shock the heart if it stops amd a Pace Maker to keep the heart beating as it is supposed to.  How this wasn't discovered before it got this bad? who knows.  The output of the blood from the heart is 10 % and he should almost be gone by this time.  He wouldn't have had a heart attack, he would have just died.  So, thank goodness for the attempted knee replacement or they wouldn't have found it.  We are fortunate.  The doctor thinks that maybe 4 - 6 weeks later they can replace the knee.  He is so crippled up at this point and in such pain, anything they can do will be a blessing". He is putting his coach up for sale and I posted it:

Wow, I will be praying for him and the docs.  I have had a couple friends get a pacemaker like that and it is life changing for them.  Maybe he should wait till after he gets the pacemaker to sell the coach.

He will most certainly feel a lot better with the pacemaker.  It is a wonderful thing.

Indeed! Get the pacemaker, get the knee, and then consider whether to sell the coach.

Our friend, Bill, had a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted many years ago after he experienced cardiac arrest. Ann fortunately heard him struggle a bit after he went into cardiac arrest. She called 911, learned CPR over the phone, and kept him alive until help came. He's been doing great for the many years since the event.

Just got this email from Kenny's daughter regarding his surgery.

"Good evening Barry, Mom and I want to let you know that Ken came out of the procedure very well today. He seems very good tonight here at home. We would appreciate it if you would post a brief message to the Foretravel forum. Many thanks for everything you do for us."

I agree with J.D.  After the pacemaker and knee replacement, then is the time to consider keeping or selling the FT.
