80's backup camera monitor replacement?

I think the CRT in mine is on its way out the door. Before I go digging around, is there a drop in replacement that fits properly in the same spot?

Not to Hijack the thread but ...
This AM when I took coach from storage the OEM Monitor showed a thin line in the middle of the CRT and then went to flipping continuously.
First things first as I had had this happen before.
I pulled coach batteries out and cleaned all cables and connections.
Problem solved.
These Audit systems are real particular about voltage.

The previous owner of our coach simply removed the CRT and then mounted an LCD monitor (probably purchased on eBay) over the hole in the dash. It completely covers the hole and looks (and performs) just fine.

I don't think you'll find one that fits exactly but Totevision makes one, the LCD-560R, that is pretty close (5.5" X 5.25"). You have to trim the dash a bit but it looks factory when you're done. There are several threads on this subject with photos that should give you some ideas. Good luck.

I have a replacement monitor from javelina purchased as a backup for my '95 U320 that was used less than a year. PM if interested.

Gary,
Are you sure your power supply is working properly?
These monitors need 12volts. Low battery voltage will make them behave like you  describe.
The power supply takes whatever voltage the coach supplies then adds 5 volts, then regulates that voltage down to 12 volts.

John, I would have suspected the power supply also but cleaning up the battery connections solved the problem, probably not logical but I will go with it til next blip.

I went to turn the thing from camera to system monitor, but hit the pwr switch instead and turned it right back on. It didn't like that, showing a thin horzontal line. After awhile, the line got wider, so I left it on and now it's back to showing an image across most all of the screen. Maybe it'll come back, maybe there's a h/v adjust in back behind the dash I don't know about, or maybe it's about to expire... I don't fault it that. It's old enough to drink after all.

Jay, There IS a H V adjust on the crt board.  Tale aluminum cover off, look for small REAL small trim pot.  I would not fool with it to you have eliminated a voltage problem.
