Short answer: no
1. That fuse for the inverter and you need to keep it.
2. That fuse only feeds the inverter (unless it was hooked up unconventionally) and you wont capture all the other (non-inverter) battery loads on the Trimetric.
When installing the shunt for the Trimetric you need to have all the loads passing through the shunt or your Trimetric wont be accurate.  Most installations have the shunt on the negative side of the battery bank.

John is right. The TriMetric has to have that shunt because it measures everything as a voltage drop across the (very small resistance) shunt. Mine is installed on the negative side of the house batteries in series; shunt connects to the negative pole of the first house battery and the ground cable connects to the other side of the shunt. It is not a fuse even if it sorta looks like one.

There are several good threads with photos of different Trimetric installations and lots of other information over at rv.net. Here's how I did the one in our 99. You can run the wire directly up under your cabinets using an existing hole or just drill another.

On our 95 I used the factory shunt location and wiring and disabled the ammeter above the entry door which was a poor location for that meter.

that is exactly the same position mine is as I like to see it while travelling down the road. The remote panel for the Morningstar MPPT is on the opposite side of cabinet to this one
