Mystery Part -- 2003 U320

This was just sitting in one of the cabinets in our new-to-us 2003 U320.  It obviously is original equipment as it has our build number on it.  But, we have yet to figure out what it is/where it goes.  Does anyone know?

That looks like a minny head board on my slide room.

Gayle,

Look at the far left (rear) upper to the left of your LR slide.  It's a decorative piece to cover the opening/wiring chase.

(I know because the adhesive of the velcro on ours failed 2 months ago, so ours is now sitting in one of our cabinets :))  )

It fits so that it tucks behind a piece that's there, longer tab up and closest to you.  I can take photos tomorrow if you'd like

Hmmm...  there appears to be a piece of vinyl covered "stuff" on both ends of the slide so nothing (wiring, etc.) is really visible.  The gap at the end of the slide seems too small for this piece to have come from there.  We have the slide out.  Is it for when the slide is in?  So, yes, I guess I need a picture for me to understand where it goes :-(  Thanks!

Gayle,

Here are some photos of ours.  See if yours would fit this way (I looked around our coach and didn't see any other areas that might have it, but your floorplan is a bit different).  It's not an essential part, just a vanity cover (at least in our coach), and there regardless of whether slide is in or out.  It might also fit further up that my 3rd photo - there's space but I didn't force it.

Thanks!  We never would have figured it out!  In our case, the piece goes in the gap at the front of the LR slide.  Once I saw your pictures, we tried it out, and yes, it fits there.  We also found the piece of Velcro off of the piece still stuck to the wall so we know for sure we have found its home.  Now that we know what it is, we're not sure it's worth putting in place, but at least we know where it does go.  Great help; thanks :) :) :)

Gayle, we have one of those too, also from front end of LR slide. FOT reinstalled it for us when we were there the first of the year; it has since fallen off again. :(
