Remote entry questions

Ours works, but reluctantly!
It will always flash the marker lights when we touch Lock or Unlock.
It does fine Locking the doors.
It is just stubborn about Unlocking them. One fob works somewhat better. When Unlock is pressed the lights flash, then maybe nothing, press again maybe everything unlocks or after a pause the entry doors unlocks. It seems to works best it the fob is close to the MH and just aft of the entry door. Rockey gets most frustrated when she tries it.
Batteries were changed recently. Wires leading from frame to door appear intact.
Where is the brain for this thing and what does it look like (anyone have a photo)?
Any ideas welcome. Thanks.

You may have contaminants/dirt on the button contacts inside the remote. Pop it open and separate the keypad from the electronics...then gently clean the rubber contacts of the pad and the electronic board contacts - 70% alcohol and a Q-tip should do it. Don't over clean the rubber contacts as they need to retain their electrical properties to close the circuit. While you're at it, clean the battery contact too.

Jim,
I believe that helped a lot. We'll see how it lasts. ;)
It's even fairly easy now to separate the unlock functions. One press unlocks entry door, second press bay doors and long press both.
Those rubber pads are strange. I finally noticed that the contacts on the board are segmented. I see now how the pads close the circuit.
Thanks for your help.
