sewer hose storage

Took two pieces of PVC gutter and screwed them together, bent up 4 brackets to suit and bolted to rear of engine door. Now the sewer hose is an easy item to handle. One end has a solid post, the other has a threaded stud. Remove threaded stud and pull hose out. The tube extends the whole width of the engine access door.

Also available is vinyl TUBING in a square shape that is normally used as plastic fence posts.  It is available to the Big Box stores in various lengths.
I put two six foot long pieces 6 inches by 6 inches in cross section in the bay, one on top of the other,  and they hold my long handles tools, brushes. squeegees etc.

The 4x4 was just a bit too small for the fittings I use, and 6x6 was way too big so that's what drove my solution.

Now I am wondering if my hose storage is/was standard. In the dump valve compartment are two 4' long 6" thinwall PVC pipes. They are hanging (on the outboard end/driver's side) from the ceiling of the compartment with plumber's straps. The pipes slant downward, exit thru holes on the inside wall of the compartment. There is a plumber's strap across the end of each pipe to keep the "stinky" tubing from sliding on thru. Works really well and the "stinky dries nicely. The PVC pipe is large enough to accommodate the fitting that locks onto the coach drain.

Anyone else have this setup?

Exactly like mine - takes about 10 footer. I was thinking about adding another one - rather than an external apparatus.

No matter what - it is the IDEA that counts here!

@nitehawk @fouroureye my 92' has the same setup in the engine compartment just inside D5. Unfortunately mine are too small in diameter to accept my end fittings on my sewer hose (camco). :( I may have to replace with a larger size.

My sewer hose storage is a 6 foot piece of thinwall PVC attached to the inside of the left rear fender panel at a downward angle to the rear and accessed through the House battery door, end fittings are just large enough that they will not fit into the PVC.

Mine is set up like  Ken's, in the engine compartment and the tube is to small.  Am using the Rhino Flex hose and fittings.  I was toying with the idea of mounting a tube on the top of my rear bumper.  Have to make sure it has venilation holes drilled in it.  I had done that with my old Toyota Sunrader, and the hose fit fine.  Don't remember where I got that tube or what size it was, but it was perfect.  Will have to to some measuring and traveling around to various stores.
