Trac-star sat ant

Today turned on the Direct TV and all I could get was "No Signal".  Reauthorized the unit with Direct TV and still no signal.  Called Direct TV and they traced that their signal is reaching me but I am not collecting the signal.  Sat Ant issue, not their problem.  Trac Star looks the same, what is the deal?  Has this thing finally bit the scrap yard pile or is there a reset.  Tried unplugging etc.  DAN

Been down that road also . The cure on my unit was a reset  . Simply unplug the  (phone like) wire , then plug it back in . That's what it took for me . Have done it twice so far on my present unit . I almost forgot , "you have to say mother may I" . :)  Per James T.          Brad Metzger

Check with Gary Omel.  He has worked on these units quite a bit.  I think he even visited the plant in Florida.  Gary bought my Tracstar unit when I gave up on it and installed a Winegard Traveler.  Love the Traveler.

Always enjoyed the in motion Sat dish, simple turn on / off no worry.  Now with the Winegard Traveler, I need a BIG reminder to park it. Have not hit it, but been lucky.
No signal was always the sat dish not finding the bird, never a Directv issue.
Had to replace the LNB a few tines on the Trac Star.

Dave, Traveler antenna has an ignition auto park optional feature that you must not have installed. It is called Winegard CL-SK34 TRAVLER Accessory Stow Cable and will automatically stow antenna when ignition is turned on.

We did put a manual switch on the wire so we could turn on ignition without stowing antenna, but normally the switch is closed. Whenever we turn on ignition, antenna immediately starts to stow if control box has been powered with 120 volts.

Great idea Barry, I get a chuckle looking at the coil of wire, I cut about 20' of cable out of the harness. Works great, Winegard sez not to cut the cable.
