Selling our 99u320

Well folks, reluctantly my wife and i are selling our 99u320...It has the u shaped kitchen, the side entry to the rear bedroom, new tires, upgraded flatscreen, mx up to spec, color backup camera etc...Looking for advice , pricing, dos and donts from those who have gone before us....Thinking of taking it to MOT as they have always treated us well...What do you all advise?.....

Or the will pick it up for free. Sold my first two via MOT, and bought 2nd and this one from them. I think good service and value for there fee.

When you settle on a price, I think there are a lot of folks in this group who are looking.  Might just be able to get it sold here!

Yes, the more info and photos you post here the better the likelihood someone on the Forum may be interested.

Asking price?
Location?
How long has you owned it?
Any upgrades/remodels?
Mileage?

You might look at some of the other ads here on the Foreforum to get an idea of how asking prices are running (also consider how long they have been on-market at that price) and how the ads are styled.

Same advice for anyone with a coach for sale.

thanks for the info, i will get some pics tonite...I am the second owner and bought it from Tom Comstock, it was his third Foretravel...it has 90ooo, less than a 1000 on 2 year old michelins...satelite dome, i upgraded to flat screens front and back with dvd players..the bulkhead was fine, but i did the fix...changed the table to black walnut, but kept the original ....I would not mind splitting the 10 percent that MOT gets...Their advice to me was 79 to 84k depending on how fast we wanted to sell it..and they seemed to feel that the u kitchen , the side rear entry, and the desk were all quite desirable items...i would agree and could not imagine having it any other way...we would not sell it except for wanting to move to horseshoe bay tx.  and no longer qualify for a mortgage..more later

The DGFE (double galley front entry) is the 'roomiest' design for the front salon and offers a lot of redesign options. For a non slide model MOT's suggested pricing is a tad high but a good starting point. 99 to '01 models are very desirable and very available. With no obvious problems $68-72K is very realistic.
What impresses me the most is that motorcade number!

The dollars are worth less every day.  Your figures seem low to me. 

How much have you seen prices go up in five years?  Add that to an desire able Rv IMO.

prices are weird it seems.  My U-270 just went back through MOT.  I sold it for $59K four years ago via MOT - they agreed to sell at $0 commission as I bought the U-320 from them and didn't trade in the U-270, so I owned two coaches during the bottom of the market.

Anyway (Sale pending) on MOT website for my coach and the ask was $64K, all that had been done in four years was carpet replaced, same tires, etc. granted I sold low at the time, and coach has Xtreme repainted decals and headlights, plus some Flanigan reupholstery on couch and chairs, but was that way when I sold it.  99 36' U-320 going up in value after four years????

Price of diesel really not a factor I think, more important is stability of pricing and availability of fuel.  AT $4 a gallon and 75 MPH it costs me .50 a mile top move the coach.  Kinda the "who cares" mentality  course if it looked like it could be $8 anytime soon and rationed, my opinion would be different.

Prices have firmed on 95 - 2001 Foretravel over two years ago I think.  More buyers in market.

You are correct.  However: Another way of looking at this is that...
Owners of quality Foretravels have a 2nd home if they wish one.  Some owners use it as Primary Residence.

Either way, 2 to $10/gallon or whaterver.  Everyone else in our nation and the world will be stiffled by a rise in energy costs.

I would much rather turn the key in my ingnition switch and change my neighborhood when needed or wanted, as well as my goal/as on my boat/ to be self sustaining as much as possible.
Foretravels are for-travel, but they offer options if and when.
