shift pad cleaning

Our shift pad was not as sensitive as I thought it should be.  So bought a can of electronic cleaner and extracted the shift module from the dash.  I got as far as the circuit board but didn't see an obvious way to remove it to get to the back side of the pad which I was hoping to clean.  So sprayed the board and let it dry, then replaced.  Question..how does one remove that circuit board?  Did I mess anything up by spraying the cleaner on the board itself?
