Horn Cap Off Center

My steering wheel is centered correctly but the plastic horn mechanism is not. Also, it is a bit too sensitive which has made for a couple of interesting driving situations. Anyhow, how do I remove the large plastic button? I'm thinking it should just pop off but I'm hesitant to reef on it. I need to center it and figure out why it is so sensitive. Thanks.

The horn button assembly is a press fit around the center of the steering wheel. You can (gently) pry it up. Use a butter knife or a screw driver.
