First service for me...lube question help

I read before here about lube points at the front brakes that take special gray grease. Some members taped them off to keep techs from living them.... I have searched and looked through many pages and I can't find if my 1989 ORED CAT 3208T is one of those. I looked at all the manuals I have and didn't see anything. If my memory serves me I think it was for Bendix brakes. I take it in tomorrow for fluid and lube at my good friends Cummins shop so I want to make sure it's done right before our trip. Thanks for any input!

As far as I know, it doesn't apply if you have drum brakes.... Edit: In your post, you say you have an ORED, but your signature indicates that you have a U300. I believe (could be wrong ::) ) that all the ORED's are drum brakes. If it is a U300 Unihome, it should have air disc brakes and needs the special grease.

I also believe it only applies to the Meritor disk brakes.  You might want to make a copy of the lube points diagram from the manual to give to the tech.  Saves him hunting and possibly missing some Zerks.

Thanks Don and Keith....I just pulled the pages out of the service manual for the tech. Don I do have drum brakes and my build plate and paperwork has it listed as a U300. It is my understanding that the numbers are just indicators on options that the coach has. Is that the case or did I miss something in my research?

I don't remember any u300 with a 3208 cat engine. The u280 had the 3208 250 hp cat. If yours is an ored it would have the drum brakes and it would not be a u300

Does your coach have a side radiator? if it does maybe that is where the 300 comes into play as it would be a 300 hp 3208 cat

Yes it has the side radiator with the 300hp 3208T in it...on my build plate my model number ends in 300. It was my understand that it would then be a U300. Is that right?

I think that's the HP or the designation for a Cat engine
A U300 will have 8 air bags, wheel wells below the floor (no intrusion above floor), and no chassis rails from front axle to rear axle.
My model number is: G91386140SAIU3006V
G= Grand Villa
91=year
3861 = build number
40 = length
SAI = floor plan
U300 = model
6V = engine, Detroit 6V92
