We did it!

Hello everyone, today we were able to make a deal with Paul and Peggy Wolfkil for there beautiful 1998 Foretravel U320 Limited Edition. Oh my how they have taken great care of her. I feel so lucky to have met them along with Gary Omel. What a great family the Foretravel group is. Thank you to all of you who have helped us along the way on this adventure. I will be taking the coach back to Southern California this week after Gary puts me through my paces on the correct way to drive this beauty. Thank you Gary. Photos will follow and I'll keep you all updated on my progress. Wish me luck. ;D

Congratulations on your new to you coach.  You are going to love it.  Finding all those idiosyncratic Foretravel things will be fun.  They put switches and other things in the strangest places!

Congratulations on getting a fine coach.  Paul and Peggy are great people and we will be sad to see them leave but we have you guys to get to know now.  That is wonderful news and I am sure you will love your new coach.  MOT and FOT will be on your way home too.  You might consider stopping there (call for an appointment first) for a baseline service. Also stop I at FOT and get your new decals and Motorcade number from Bev.  The first year is free.  Also let FOT know you know own that unit so when you call them they will be able to pull it right up.

Turn the page.  A new day is approaching. I am in San Juan Capistrano and have sourced a few local guys who are old friends from the biz to work on mine.

One is a rare one as he is an electrical expert.  In San Clemente.

Bill park helped me optimize the batteries and automatic power transfer system.  30 years experience.

Let me know if you want his info when you get home.

Spent almost two years on and off going through the coaches mechanical and electrical systems before it try to make it prettier and update the sound and tv systems.

First things first in my book.  Love to see it when you get home.

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome and encouraging comments. Yesterday was a FUN day. Gary is a great instructor. He really helped me to understand how to use the retarder while driving. We did city and interstate driving and it felt very comfortable on the road. It truly drives like a dream. While here in the Tampa area I've have also been able to visit my oldest son and his family which includes my first grand daughter Abby. She is almost 3 and the DW and I can't wait to be able to take her along with us on our Foretravel adventures. I will be heading over to Paul and Peggy's this morning to start my trip back to Southern California. I will update the first days trip tonight. Thanks again folks.

Larry, Thank you. I know the feeling as others have purchased their coaches while I watched.
Roadrunner thank you.

Well I started my trip to California Sunday Jan. 26th about 11:00am and made it up to a Ponce De Leon rest stop off the I-10 just about 60 miles east of Pensecola Fl. I fired up the generator and ran the AquaHot and stayed nice and toasty until 3:30am and headed west to beat the traffic in Pensecola and Mobile Al. WOW that tunnel is something else in a 40ft coach. I made it up to Hattiesburg Miss to see my brother and decided to stop and wait out this front that is coming through. No need to be in a hurry when you are traveling in style. I'm staying at Okatoma Resort & RV Park. Okatoma Resort & RV Park ~ RV Camping, Fishing, Wildlife Watching, Bicycling,  The first picture is me with Paul and Peg Wolfkill. That's my brother in the Honda.

Congratulations on a gorgeous coach!

I put the RV park into "the Google" and you are but 6 or so hours from The Mothership/Nac/aka Meccadoches ;) .  Could be a perfect time to stop at the factory for a night, get your free first year of Motorcade membership, and meet a bunch of great folks.
