Love to replace the halogens in our coach.  Would like the same color to the light if possible?

Might have missed it but I didn't see any 5 meter (16 foot) rolls. For 5 meters, you usually get your choice of color (cool or warm), 300 or 600 LED per 5 meters, choice of plain with sticky backing, silicon covered or waterproof with silicon sheath plus the 5050 larger or 3528 smaller LEDs. Their site looks good but not as much for a DIYer who wants to buy a roll or two and convert lots of interior and exterior lights. Buying roll does mean you have to either solder or use snap on connectors.

Over 130,000 sites to check here on eBay: led strips | eBay  Have ordered a lot of rolls from some of the suppliers. Good and very inexpensive. Some U.S. suppliers only charge a little more with quick shipment an advantage.

It does take a bit of time to come up to speed on cutting/soldering as well as choosing the right brightness and color. Once you do, it's a lot of fun and you can't really cost yourself much $$ no matter what kind of mistake you make.

Your site does have a lot of speciality bulb replacements that get one thinking about the next project.

I bought 2 "BA15D 1142 18 SMD 5050 Car LED Warm White Light Bulb Lamp" on ebay for $2.99 each shipped from "led_dealer" on ebay.  Great replacements for the swingarm lamps.  They are currently on vacation and thus their ebay store is shown as closed ...at least that is what ebay told me when I went back to my old purchase link to buy more.  Haven't found a better price...and sure beats $9.99 per each!

Brad, It's currently "Chinese New Year" or Lunar New Year.  It's very common for businesses to completely shut down for 15 or more days from late Jan to mid Feb.  It's also cerebrated in other counties like Korea and Vietnam.  Pretty sure it ends on Feb 14th this year, so maybe try again on Feb 17th.

Thanks for the info.  I've checked back a couple of times and I wondered when they were finally going to come back.  All the other sellers are around $5 or so with shipping and I need to replace the other 4 ( 8 ) lamp bulbs.  I just bought the first two to make sure they were bright enough and "warm" enough for me.

Do you mean adding LEDs anywhere in the coach, or just as brake lights?

Brad,

A while back I bought "2x BA15D 1142 1076 1158 SMD bulb car light Warm White 30-5050 SMD LED DC 12V" from hqpower on ebay.  I like how bright they are but, they seem to have a green hue to them.  It's enough that I haven't ordered more to do the other 3 lights.  How are the one's from led_dealer, any funny hue?

Thanks.

I just went out and looked at it in the dark garage.  I didn't detect any hue, and when I turned another light on (with incandescants) to compare, I couldn't really detect any difference.  Hard to see, but here is a picture of what it looks like to my cameraphone with no filters.

Certain cruise controls need to see the resistance of the brake light bulbs in order to work, like the king cruise control. Might be the electronic engines that have the cruise built into the computer are not sensitive to the brake lights.

John, the directionals blinkers need some resistance. The side marker blinkers or the mirror ones are enough to work. If you replace every marker and break light with LEDs then you need to put a diode in to create some resistance for the directional to work. It is why I left a couple bulbs in my system but changed most of the marker lights and the direction also to LED.

John S, I gather you are reffering to me in your post?
There were diodes installed of course but no resisters that I can see (P O did the change) and all side/clearance and rear light are LED and seem to work fine!!
I will check to see today.

I don't understand why you want to change those bulbs to LEDs in the first place. Mine are 11 years old and none have burned out, so longevity is not much of an issue. They are powered by the alternator when the engine is running, so power saving is not an issue. And now you negate any power savings with added six ohm resistors.

You have a point-to a point Tom, and as I did not pay for them it did not bother me. One thing I will say is these rear lights are a better looking one than OEM and give off better light, along with the clearance ones too. There are times when your lights are on and no engine running, so at those times it helps. I also have a feeling that due to less heat from led's than bulbs the plastic covers will not break down as fast as they do with incandescant ones.

I changed my marker lights to reduce power consumption.  Running at night with the defroster on high and lights and wiper would see my voltage drop. Now it barely goes down.

Yep, they shine so much brighter, even thru dusty lens covers.  I have made a study of the back of tractor trailers, with and without them, ever since they first came out.  The LEDs prevail in everything except for lack of heat to melt snow.  You still have to wipe them off when they get covered with snow.  But they are bright enough to still be seen thru several inches of snow.  Just looking at all these trailers with them and how well they can be seen as compared to trailers without them has convinced me.  When you are a truck driver, you notice things like that.

Hi John,
I plan on changing the taillights to LED's... Did they they just change the bulbs, or the whole assemblies? If they changed the housings, is there a part number/manufacture's info and would you mind posting some pictures? I see lots of options for buying whole assemblies and trying to decide what is best. Would love the Xtreme version conversion, but not as important to me as the headlights...
Thanks, Don
