Air dryer question

I have a thread sealant question.
I'm replacing my Pure Air Plus air dryer. The three 90 degree fittings clearly had white thread sealant on the ends that screw into the air dryer.  The other ends (tapered) didn't have any obvious sealant.  Should nothing be used on those threads or is there a different product than the ones discussed above?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

The  end with a flair fitting requiring only torque to seal it off. On the pipe threads use a quality pipe dope like tite-seal 55. Do not use Teflon tape here as you will open up a can of worms that you may not be able to close.
