Detroit 92 Series Shop Manual in PDF Format

I was looking at the Wanderlodge site and noticed the Detroit 92 series service manual is available in PDF format for downloading. It has been listed on eBay but is in DVD format for PCs only. This does not cover the DDEC II electronic engines but has a ton of information on just about everything else. These PDFs can be downloaded on any kind of tablet or laptop, Mac, PC or Android.

Wanderlodges and Bluebirds have a very high percentage of either 6V-92s or 8V-92s in their coaches. I talked to a lot of owners in Death Valley a couple of weeks ago and they seem like a very nice group. They had 82 coaches at Quartzsite.

I do have the factory DDEC II manual if anyone needs any info. Just don't have time to make PDFs of the whole thing.

Thanks for the link on the Wanderlodge group for the downloadable pdfs for the Detroit 92 series.  They look to be complete and over 800 pages.  Just printed them out and there's enough info for 3 manuals. I'm just a novice on these engines so it looks like I have a lot of reading and studying to do!

Let me know if you need a hard copy of any of the sections.

Be glad the manual is for the 92 series, and for grins, the parts manuals for the 71 series is 4' wide, so many versions of the 71 series, 1,2,3,4,6,8,12,16 & 24 cylinders, and 4 basic models of each, then add the twins, pancakes, verticals & upside down models,  enough to run one nuts.

Glad you like them. Excellent for removing and repairing water pumps, adjusting valves, etc. Lots of diagrams and examples. Will try and get the DDEC II manual scanned into PDFs before summer. There are differences between the turbo engines and non turbo but will have to wait on that one.

They have made over three and a half million of the 2 cycles so far since 1940. Made in Germany now, they are the engine of choice today for cost is no object military generators, etc. around the world. Also power the Coast Guard rescue boats that punch their way through the surf at harbor entrances. Check the MTU website: MTU Detroit Diesel 2-Cycle

I was stunned when I looked at the 8V-71 series service manual when we re-powered our fire trucks. 4" inches is right. A million adjustments to make to get it just right for injector timing.
