Day/night blind replacement

Went out for early dinner tonight, left bedroom window slightly ajar to keep cool breeze for our dog , came back to find window fully open and insect screen out . The shade is ripped , I suspect by our dog whom is fiercely protective of family and home .
it's a busy campsite and we were back before dusk and nobody saw anything !
Anyway does anybody have idea of cost and how to replace the shade .
Thanks Jim

I have them on my born free and it works great. They provided dowels to prevent the window from opening further too.

Is there any wind noise when driving with the windowmaxx?  Are they screwed on or use double face tape?  tks DAN

Dan,

The product info says they provide SS fasteners.  Not sure why you could not use the correct bonding tape products instead.

THe issue is that it has to be flat along the top so water can not come in. I have a bead of silicone on the tops as well.  Came that way from the Born Free Factory.

No wind noise, fastened to window frame with screws in to drilled holes. Double stick tape will not work as there is no flat surface against window frame. Only edge of WindowMaxx touches window frame.

And once again the incredible source of knowledge comes thru on the Foreforum.  In just 4 hours and 7 minutes, from the original start of the thread to several real life users with accurate info.

The WindowMaxx comes in three pieces so you can adjust the height and configure for either side of the coach. Screws are provided to connect these pieces but I found that pop-rivets worked easier.  Still used screws for attaching to the frame

No noise, work great.

Can't help with the interior problem.

Maybe make two phone calls, one to Foretravel remodel shop, the other to MCD Shades, and see if either has some recent take off old ones?

A google search shows Camping World, and several RV supply companies handle the shades.

As much as I like our MCD shades, I would suggest you might start replacing your old shades with new MCD's.  We really like the ones in the main saloon, and plan to add both windshield and bedroom units.

If you remove the shade should have the manufactures name and then look them up on the internet and contact them with the numbers that are on the label and they can make you a new one. That is wht we did for our coach.
