Odometer model

Need to fix/replace speedo/odometer on my '96 U295. It's forgotten how to record the miles or the trip miles. Speed part works OK. I don't know other than VDO what model was used on my coach. Any ideas?

@Larry on my 92' it was a "VDO SPEEDOMETER 85MPH GAUGE #437-152". It was around $50 or $60 bucks on ebay. Just checked and didn't see any on ebay right now. You might want to keep checking.

It was an easy trade out. The wiring was slightly different but it came with a wiring diagram that made it pretty easy.

I am just waiting for that gauge to arrive in mail for the U240 as the old one  would not record miles either. I sent it to VDO to try and fix but the motor had gone and no parts available. I had not seen one that price before, best deal was $140 at VDO-VDO Vision Black 85mph/130kmh Electronic Speedometer with Autocalibration . At least they are going to calibrate it and put original miles from other on for me at no cost. I finished up buying from VDO rep in Canada Forster Instruments but definitly not a cheap deal like Kens.

Our VDO meters have a label with model number. Let us know if your speedometer does not have any identification.

From recommendations from the Forum, I sent my speedometer and generator to Instrument Exchange  (713-923-6104 (JOE)). They checked it out for me, found no problems and all it cost was the return postage, which was less than I paid to send it to them. Very nice guys to deal with. Also they work on all speedometers.
I would call them before buying a new one.

I had called FOT and they got back to me on voice-mail today that my odo isn't made anymore but they have  replacement in stock. Of course he didn't give me a price and my phone was out of amps at the time but there is a trail to follow. I'll call whats-his-name about repairs when I can read the numbers on the label that's on the bottom side as it's mounted in amongst all the wires. Thanks for the suggestions.
