We had zero noise from our windshields, but everything else sounds familiar.  Our passenger side had shifted (dropped) ever so slightly at the center which cause it to be just out of place enough that in a driving rain water would come in.  We ended up having both windshields pulled and re-seated.  But the important part was re-bonding the front cap and dash back together, as that's what allowed the windshield to shift.  Without fixing the underlying problem, I think they would have just shifted again.

If I remember correctly the gasket was about $140, and just over a coach buck to remove, fix the cap, and re-install.  Each piece of glass would have been $750, luckily I didn't need them. 

On our last trip we noticed quite a gap between the base of the windshield and the dash.  We haven't noticed any extra wind noise or shift in the windshield.  However, I'm assuming this is what is referred to above (the need to re-bond the front cap to the dash)?  Is this something that requires special skills or something that an RV/glass repair shop will be able to handle?

Yes, I believe it was something that happened in this past year (or few months).  Xtreme replaced the PS windshield so I'm sure they would have caught that gap at the time.  We also had windshield work done in 2012 and I'm sure I would have noticed it at that time; I've done work under and near the dash since then and not noticed the gap.  The outside of the windshield/cap looks and feels solid and normal.
(Perhaps I should have started a new post; I don't think this is the same issue you are having and we're in the PNW this summer. )
