Fresh water fill

Hello,
Problem:  we have tried to fill the water tank several times using the buttons in the aux bay and under the sink.  Green button lights come on but the level indicator stays at empty.  First thought was the indicator was inop, but there is no water pressure using just the water pump. We just picked up the coach after a long storage period.  During the winter, my storage company emptied the water system.  I found all the drain values open when I  hooked up to city water by watching several leaks. Closed all the values in the water pump  and aqua hot bays which stopped the discharge.
Any ideas would be most appreciated!

Larry,
Depending on how it's been set up for "winterizing" there may be a bypass valve on the inlet to the water pump that's been left in the bypass position. That wouldn't explain why you can't fill but would result in no water flow from the pump.

May want to check out your water check valve.  On our 02 it is behind the panel for the aqua hot.. But, don't know if you would be getting any water to your lines you say were left open??  Sounds like an easy fix, so start with the easiest things first...

Also check your water fill valve for a manual shut off.  It's the black handle on top if it's like ours The selected media item is not currently available.

We recently replaced our fresh water check valve and cleaned the fresh water rubber bladder in the solenoid as shown in Michell's pic. (black thing with X handle on top - ours does not have the handle).  We had some small pebbles in the check valve forcing it to stay open as well between the rubber bladder and the housing in the solenoid assembly so water would flow both ways from the fresh water tank.  We could put water in the fresh water tank but it would not stay and while the water pump was on we got a small trickle out of the faucet.  We replaced the check valve and disassembled the fresh water solenoid, cleaned it out, put it back together.  Everything work OK after that.

Michelle,

I assume that it is the black cross shaped knob on top.  Would ON be counter clockwise?

Opening that value didn't have any effect on the water level.  One thing more, no water pressure in the shower while it is reasonable at the taps on city water.  Thanks.

When connected to city water can you fill the fresh water tank?

Larry,

What's the status of the valve circled in the photo below?  Turned in-line with the piping it should allow flow; perpendicular it will stop flow

Have you tried to by-pass the fresh water fill valve to eliminate the possibility of it's failure?

If, when you are connected to city water, you are successful in having it run out of a faucet but not fill the tank, then it may be either a stuck water fill valve (and some of them have solenoids that you can hear clicking when you push the "fill" button) OR a jammed check valve.  We have had issues with both.

THANKS Michelle!!
It was that valve.  I must of turned it off in my water drain shut off frenzy.
Thanks to everyone else, also.

Question 2: The insta-hot has been inop since the start of this trip. Possibly related?
