Sliding Front Door Step

We just picked up our 2006 Nimbus and the door step only retracts when we start the engine. When we are parked it remains out. This is a danger to others walking by. Originally it retracted when we shut or opened the door.  Is there a switch or fuse that we can't find to allow the step to retract? Any help would be appreciated.

Foretravel does not allow this feature because of safety concerns. If the ignition is ON then the steps will retract when you close the door.
You can modify this yourself to do what you want. Here are the instructions which I have done on my 2003 and many others have done.

Great help! Thanks, Barry. We will put our own switch in. What a wonderful resource this forum is!
