Based on the inventory number (6593A) it was traded in on new IH-45 build number 6593 (A is, I believe, code for trade-in.  C is consignment)

Since I got my 1st FT in 1999, and got a 15000 number, it looks like those folks have had at least 3 FTs now, with a number that old.  Gotta think they were happy with this one for a long time.

My number is 9071, and traveled these people on several times. They always had well maintained coaches. I was the club service rep at the time.

I was told it is a one owner and they are in the process of having a new coach built for them.

Talked to Rodger about his old coach. What a nice fella he is 85 years young. Wasn't to happy with his new coach and told me that he wished he had his old one back. His old one has a couple of issues also.

I suspect that anyone who buys an IH is in for a bit of "working the bugs out" time.  Plus, so much more complex than ever our somewhat complex FT's

Hard to beat a 1997 - 2001 FT - you can choose slide/no slide, all have pretty smog free engines, still valuable enough to justify spending some dollars on upgrades you may want, minimum or no SMOG devices on engines, best quality years and many to choose from due to reasonably high production numbers.  Downside is lack of conventional financing (credit unions will often lend on these, plus there is 401k borrowing and home equity bow wowing, both of which would be cheaper than any other source you could find if you have the equity in the account or your house)

Being 85 time is not on his side. He said his new one is in the shop right now parked right along side of his old one. He was such a pleasure to talk to I hope and pray everything works out for him.

Gives me a great deal of hope just to hear the gentleman is still piloting a coach at 85 years young!

Me too! I hope I'm still in the right condition to be doing such things at that age! So far, so good . . . .
