Leaky windows

It looks like in 2001 the side windows in the living room slide out are not framed windows. I have talked to two different owners of 2001 coaches and both have this problem with leaks. Anyone else run into this and is there a fix? I looked at photos of 2000 and 2002 coaches and those side windows in the slide out look to be framed. Maybe something they tried in 2001 ran into a problem and went back to the frame?

I have had no leaks.  When you say framed out, what do you mean.

The windows on the side of the coach looked to be framed out in a aluminum frame. The ones on the side of the slide out look to be recessed into the fiberglass with no frame? I'm only going by pictures and the two owners I talked to.

The ones on the side of the slide can leak but that is caused by the delamination.

Recently had water leak which appeared to be from both windows on the outside of the front slide.  Put magic tape over both windows and it still leaked.  Turned out that the chalking around the top drain holes had separated allowing water to go thru the slide and out by the windows inside of the coach windows.  Check around the two drain holes at top of the slide.  They need to be chalked about every three or four years.  Amazing how much water can come in during a hard rain if these are leaking.  DAN

Mike, the side / or end windows in my 03 living room slide appear to not have an external frame as do the other windows on the coach.  Have had no issues with leaks.  Photo shows one of the slide end windows.

That is the window that Rance checked for leaks when I had my slide done. No leaks but he tightened it up anyway.  Labor was not much as it was only dry time.

common place for delamination on slide - below this window - I have some on mine, and I know George Stolz had his repaired at Xtreme and documented it with posts on the FoFum
