Possible refer upgrade/repair

I have been testing my RM7832 side by side refer to see what if anything can be adjusted or altered to lower  the lower refer sections temps and to increase the air flow around inside the refer if full.

Without over cooling the entire refer or turning on the compressor in the freezer section nothing helped.

Tried one of the small inexpensive twin fan units.  Dropped five degrees maybe if left flat on the upper shelf and the refer empty.

Contacted mike at smartrvproducts today and he is going to work with me to build a twin fan and plenum unit to test in our coach.

The cooling fins are too long in his preliminary opinion and he said he has finally caught up with his normal business and has the time to work with me on this.

Next step is pictures and dimensions of the compartment.

Plenum over the fins will be .040 aluminum as I understand his explanation.

He said he has received a lot of inquiry's about the 7732 and the 7832 over the years so its maybe the time to address a fix.

Will keep everyone updated as this goes but should be fixable.

Bob,

About a year ago I moved the sensor to the top of the cooling flange and added a cooling fan.

Dometic add-on Evaporator Fan for increased inside cooling

I mounted a thermometer on the second door shelf and typically see a temperature about 38F, with the control set on #3.

Tried the same fan.  Trying to get the bottom colder.  Second shelf was 38 or so at #3.  My sensor wire will not extend that far and I did not trust pulling on it hard....
