kitchen vent kool o matic needs bearings

My kitchen vent(kool o matic) in my 1992 u225 motor needs replaced or bushings/berrings need replaced. I dismantled it and the brushes are like new, lubed it and it works now and slowly slows down because need of bushings. does anyone know where to get bushings for the motor?, or a good price on a replacement motor?  thanks friends; Pat

I had the same problem as "Don from VA". 
I removed, cleaned, lubed our Kool-O-Matic fan motor twice, but a squeal returned several months later each time. 
There is a NAPA universal motor that works well with the original Kool-O-Matic speed reduction resistor set.  NAPA part number is 655-2378 and the cost was $36.50 plus tax in FL in 2012.

KOOL-O-MATIC FAN MOTOR
I was concerned that the wiring appeared marginal as the high speed fan draws 16.44 DC amps.  For the wire run, the original 14 Gauge wiring is barely adequate.  On hi speed, the Kool-O-Matic Hi/Lo Sw. gets very warm also (always did).  Low speed is not a problem (3.42 DC Amps).  High speed fan is EXTREMELY robust.  It shuts the burnt toast alarm down in seconds.  Lo speed is very calm, quiet, but moves a lot of air due to aggressive blades.
After replacement, I test ran the fan on high speed for several hours and the wiring gets barely warm, not hot.
I was glad to find a way to restore it as it is perfect for strong, adjustable air movement over the stove.  Like Don, other than for "burnt toast" response, we seldom use it on Hi speed.

Off topic, but I didn't realize a resistor was used in the circuit. For being more efficient, it may make sense to install a PWM variable speed controller.

Pat,
DC motor.  It will run fine in both directions.  Just reverse black and orange wires.

Would improve power lost to heat at the expense of pulse noise showing up where you don't want it and possible  negative impact to motor life, if you run on slow speed a lot, which we do.  Also have to get it right or power surges and over/under DC Voltage issues, depending on the sophistication of the PWM design and the quality of the components.  Original motor lasted 14 years.  Resistor set (coiled wires in picture) is rugged and dependable.  14 more years and I'll be happy.
Resistors are easy.  Pulse Width Modulation, more money, experimentation, trial and error, rounds of rework might be necessary.
