Top radiator hose rubbing!!

Yesterday I crawled up under the bed and tightened the alternator and air compressor belts. While there I noticed a black spongy "protective" covering on the top radiator hose where it is in close proximity to the sheet metal box that lets the air intake draw thru the side louver on our coach. The covering was worn thru and the hose was showing slight wear from the corner contact with the sheet metal. I immediately made a sheetmetal protective cover (bent to curve around the spongy existing cover). I ziptied it in place and also drew the hose away from the corner.
While working on installing the cover I noticed a fairly large metal canister with a plastic t-handle dipstick sticking up--behind the driver's side taillights. Lo & behold!! I found the power steering fluid reservoir!! One quart low. After reading up about it I find it is also used for supplying the PARK BRAKE.
Never could understand why the park brake worked so slow. Now I know.
