Part Missing Above Awning

I was on the roof of our 2005 for the first time today and noticed there appears to be something missing from the awning installation. There is a bead of silicone on the roof and another on the awning that run the entire length of the awning.  It appears that it was a shield of some sort to keep water from running between the awning and the coach.  Anyone know what should be there.

If it's a Girard 2000, according to the installation manual, p. 52, it's a piece of weatherstripping.

Richard - it's a HUGE file (5 MB).  Did you try downloading it first?  Do you have Acrobat Reader on your iPad?

ETA I can open it directly on the forum with my laptop.  We have no way to test anything for an iPad, though.

Richard, here is just page 52, which is much smaller. You will still need a .pdf document reader such as Acrobat to open it though.

Thanks Michelle.  I guess I will be trying to order one tomorrow.  I notice it calls for four beads of silicone.  I have only two, probably the reason I came off.  My anemometer is also missing one of the cups, so I can fix everything at once.

Steve,
When our Girard awning started leaking, the techs at Foretravel laid two large beads of silicone on top of, and/or under edge of the gasket.  No more leaks.  The two beads you are seeing may be from a similar repair.  Before my repair I did not see any beads of silicone.
