Refurbing Blue Ox Aventa tow bar

Has anyone done their own rebuild/refurb on a Blue Ox Aventa?  Any caveats?  Ours is likely due and we're planning to do it ourselves to save the shipping costs of sending back to Blue Ox.

Michelle, when mine began to get dysfunctional, the locking mechanism was failing, I called them and they sent me a rebuilt unit for little more than the shipping, one way. Of course my mechanical skills are in the same neighborhood as 5 year old.
No RV! Have hung up the keys.

Blue Ox had an exhibit at the Escapee's spring Escapade. Brought a big trailer full of their products.
(Next year in Tucson, I think in March).

Got mine done for $35.
You might give them a call and find out where they are/will be.

I had Blue OX refurbish my Aventa at the FMCA Gtr. Estn. Aera. Rally in York, PA and they were also present at FMCA Perry, GA rally.

They did a great job on my 6 year old tow bar for same price of $35.

We won't be at any rallies, so that's not an option.
