replacing jack bed sofa with fold out sofa

Wanting to replace the jack sofa with fold out sofa bed and should have room to do so. First bid was $4,000
Seems high.  Any ideas?? tks

Seems high to me, too. But a decent RV sofa will cost more than something you toss into the basement for a kid's sleepover nights.

One of the only things I liked about our 5th wheel was the sleeper sofa. It was a jacknife but it had airliner-style tables that folded out of the arm rests, swiveled up and then rolled down over your lap. These were amazingly handy and we used them all the time even though we had a dinette in that unit.

Never saw one before or since.
