Had a great 1st trip!

We had a great weekend camping in Nelson for the first time,a few minor glitches but nothing I cant handle. We went to Calhoune Falls State Park in Sc. Thanks for ya'lls help with my buzzing issue I'll take care of that now that I'm home.

Congratulations! Hope you have many more great trips. The Foretravel looks good and the campsite looks as if it would be a nice place to spend a few days.

Isn't that the truth.  What a great feeling we have leaving on an adventure. Once we got our coach home from our purchase trip we got our stuff in it and went on our first trip, 6 miles away. Every trip adds to the understanding of your coach, how you find it best to use it and confidence in yourself and your coach.  No time like now to hit the road.

Stump, great photo, Nelson looks snug and happy in that site, we are about 85 miles away have been wanting to try it out. What site were you in..???

We were in campground #1 site 13 30 amp service and a water spigot.quite a walk from the store and ranger station about 2 miles but nice place. campgrpound 2 is close to the marina and ranger station/store.

No that is Sheeva she is a 14 yr old shepherd mix and then there's Buddy he is a 100lb semi Rodesian Ridgeback mutt mix South Carolina hounddog sumtin sumtin,Thinks he is a lap dog,LOL and then the Black one is Molly she is a terrier lad mutt mix sumtin sumtin ,all rescue dogs ,But all gentle and fantastic dogs.

Rolled out yesterday for a overnite at the Badin Lake Group Camp with some friends yesterday It was real nice sipping coffee this morning, Watching my friends pack up their campsite's and load all the stuff in the pickups to take home and unload again and then repack it before it can be put away until next time! Yep It was sure nice sipping coffee watching all that!! All I had to do was shut my door and turn my key,Yep sure was nice!!!

If I have to hook up the jeep it takes about ten mins to pull in the slides and air up and hook up.  I usually put stuff in travel mode the night before.  If it is an overnight, I sometimes do not put the slides out and just unplug and start up.

Practice makes perfect, well better anyway.  We started with a list of stuff to do in a particular order. Pretty soon it is second nature.  Like John, I like to do the flight check the night before. I check tire pressures, check the oil and coolant level, check the hydraulic oil and do a walk around.

We alway double check the Jeep connection before we leave, make sure the transmission and transfer case are in neutral and the brakes are off and test the lights, every time.

It takes me a few minutes more than John to go from "Time to Go" to "On the Road" but not many.  Tou will find your own way.  It is a joy to just pack up and go - anywhere.

I could almost see the smile on your face watching the others pack.  I gotta tell you nothing like traveling in an FT.
