Inverter protocol.

Hello everyone,
My family and I have been full timing for almost 3weeks and unfortunately the remodeling has required complete replacement of all electrical service to our property. So far the generator has been both efficiant and reliable. Had been told that leaving inverter on during start up and shut down of generator was okay. Starting to question this after shutting off this morning everything110 in the coach suddenly died. Microwave display is still working which gives me hope that it might only be a switch that popped and not a fried inverter. Checked breakers and nothing obvious there.
Any input is most definitely appreciated.

Check the GFI breaker. It is often near the bathroom sink. It may need to be reset. It could have failed.

We have started/stop the generator many times while inverter was turned on. I've not observed any ill effects from the practice.
