Detroit Diesel Series 60 Engines in Foretravels

A friend mentioned to me that his understanding is that Foretravel used some Series 60 engines in the 1995-1997 time frame. Does anyone have any details on this, such as which displacement, torque and horsepower, as well as how many were used in which models and years?

One. 

Original prototype unicoach.  Primus natural convection  heating

Fast, overgeared, fast.  Charlie the guy I sold it to who owned a fleet of trucks said it would go up cajon pass out of la at 100mph.  At least a six percent grade.

Charlie passed away and I think someone here knows where the coach is?

That's interesting. I wonder when they built the prototype. My build number is 4726 and the date is Feb 1995.

4466 was built in Nov 1993 so it would be about the same time time

Really appreciate all of your information. Foretravel appears to have been really pumping them out in that time period. Those must have been really good times! Any idea of the build number of the first regular-production U320?

4060.  I think the R version but maybe only a jake.  Worked well if memory serves me. Don't remember a joystick.

We have a member with a U300 in AZ that has a DD60 in it. He bought it a few years back. Has a jake as I recall.
