Fan motor replacement in Duo Therm ac unit( update)

Anyone have the instructions on how to get the old fan motor out and the new one in.

First you will need to take the screws off of the evaporator to access the squirrel cage. And remove any sheet metal that is in the way. Take the cover off of the electical access box, this is where you will be replacing the wires to remove the fan blades (and they have been on there for a while) you need to be able to pry against the blade (without breaking it).......On some units there are allen screws that you will need to use a long T handle wrench,,,usually the squirrel cage has one......the fan blades have a notch in it to access the screw rotate it till you see it, and directly above is the screw (flashlight will help immensly) once the fan blades are off, you will pull the arbor of the squirrel cage to the back and lift up the rear fan arbor ............Prior to that you will see that you can either take the fan bracket off or the fan off of the bracket............Now that its off, replace the wires ---------wire for wire,,,,,,,,when you reverse the procedure, make sure that the fan blades are free and centered so as not to rub............

I found a new motor Kit at Adventure RV for $108.00 plus freight,being that I am old school Yankee, I took a shot at trying to free up the motor,I drilled 3/16th. holes in each end bell, flushed with turbine oil,held my breath and turned the fan back and forth, it freed up it spun freely,I then made some new felt packing, worked it in the holes and oiled it, put the power to it and it
run nice and quite. ^.^d

Good job!
$108 is a good price however your fix is better!
Maybe you could take it a step further and put an old grease cup on there like the old farm machinery had.
