Grand Villa Wiring

We recently installed tile so I had a chance to check everything out. This post might be of interest to Grand Villa owners wondering what's under that couch and carpet.

1-Front: On the left you can see the furnace and duct work. Two of the hoses attach to the furnace grills on the couch and the third goes under the kitchen counter and attaches to the grill below the sink cabinet. The wires on the right are the 120v which terminates at the outlet on the entry door cabinet and also 12v presumably for a table lamp (not used on my coach).

2-Front: Exposes the seat platform and the safe.

3-Allison: This is the Allison transmission CPU which is located on the firewall next to the steering column.

4-Behind Console: This is the area directly behind the TV console. You'll have a 120v outlet, a large red cable back to the starter, TV stuff, the cable from the NMO cell phone antenna on the roof and a few others. I have a bundle there that you probably won't see. The wires are for a factory installed security system which I ripped out when I got this coach.

5-Behind Drawer: These are the wires that passed through the floor behind the console (#4). If you pull out the large front facing drawer you'll see them. The 120v comes up the left side of the coach (#1), passes under the seat platform, up to the console TV and over to the right and down that side of the coach to the entry door cabinet (#1). The black and red 12v are for the power seats. The other wiring continues down into the floor.

6-Level: Should have put this one and the next earlier in the sequence. Anyhow, this is the HWH level sensor under the couch on the left side.

7-Wiring through Floor: These are the wires that run up the left side under the couch and carpet. The copper piping is for the furnace as is a bundle of wiring. The large loom goes to the Allison CPU. The one labeled HWH contains the wire that terminates at the level sensor along with the wires that terminate at the HWH panel on the dash. On my rig the HWH wires attach to the HWH control box in the compartment just below. I installed loom on this stuff but it is normally not covered.

Just remembered. I had two sets of HWH under there. I eliminated the second one. May have been a mistake or maybe there were different units used.

I took quite a few photos so if anyone needs more detail, let me know.

Long live the GVs!
