Towables

I'm looking into a 2014 or 15 F150 Ford 4X4 for my dingy.  Owner's manual says it's ok to tow without restrictions. Anyone using a F150 4X4 as a tow vehicle or any other full size pickup?  Any issues I should be aware of?

Our coach is a 40 ft 2005 U320.

Thanks in advance for responses.

Bill

I have been towing my 2011 GMC 4x4 P/U for some time with no issues whatsoever.

Bill, my F-150 is is a 2013 4X4.  I have a 10K blue Ox tow bar and baseplate.  I have towed it around 6K miles in the last 18 months and have had no issues at all.  I pull up to the coach, leave the truck running in park, hook up tow bar, cables and lights. Go to the truck step on brake, put transmission in neutral, turn the 4X4 selector knob from 2H to 4L 5 times.  A message comes up on the dash that states the transmission and transfer case are in neutral, safe to tow.  Leave selector in neutral turn the key to off, lock and close the door.
It is by far the easiest tow vehicle I have ever had.  PM if you have any specific questions.  David

Will be ordering our new 2015 F150 4 x 4 this spring when we get home. We had a private showing of the 2015 F150 last June at home. Liked everything we saw. Just waiting for production to catch up with demand.
