2000 GV320 at PPL in Houston

I don't usually post about Foretravel coaches for sale, but this one is very unusual... A 2000 single slide GV320 at PPL IN Huston for $69K. I just thought it interesting...2000 GV320 Houston

I'm not absolutely certain, but I think this is the one I saw at the factory a few months ago having som slide mechanism work done.  If it is, Foretravel said it was one of the few made with a slide

Is it the same chassie as a u320?

Are the air bags inboard or like a no slide coach?

Looks like unusual layout..

The 320 chassis were all 8 outboard air bags with the exception of the few with IFS.

We saw the coach last year. It looked pretty rough then but looks better in the photo. It's hard to argue with that price.

That coach was in the enclosed lot @ Foretravel last year during Ladies Driving school. Also was @ at "Q" last year

Did not look inside, but the exterior looked great.

I think it is a 320 with a Grandvilla nose & rear caps.
The rest of the coach looks to be standard U320

If it is the one I saw in the shop, it was very rough inside, the slide was removed, so it was easy to look inside.  Needed cleaning really badly.  I liked the design however.

Definitely keeping an eye on this coach as we approach our late May trip to TX. Also on watch list is the 2006 34ft triple slide at FT.
This getting exciting to finally make a move and get on the road.

FT built at least one 40' GV320 with a slide and a tag.

Just a friendly little tip, a lot of people seem to be discovering the value in the used Foretravels. If you find one you like, you  probably need to jump on it. If they are priced right, they seldom stay on the market for months, sometimes only days. Most of us have had to travel a long way at an inconvenient time to get our dream coach.

Price seems low for a 2000 40 ft single slide U320.  It is not the miles.  If it is OK mechanically lots of money to spend on remodel. I would have guessed upper 80's to mid 90's?  But under $70K.

It could be because of the GV (mid entry, bull nose) configuration. I think a lot of RV buyers still like the "bus" and front entry styles. Not so much with us FT folks. :D

Actually, my experience has been the 2000 +, GV320's draw a premium.  The last one I saw for sale in 2012, a 2003, I saw at FOT was priced about $10,000 more than an equivalent Unicoach and I think it sold very quickly.

But that could be because most people who truly understand Foretravels shop at FOT. At PPL.... not so much. :)

Are there any differences other than style and a mid entry door?  Really seems a lot like a U320 to me.

This style coach is almost identical to a bus style U 320. They all have the mid-entry door. This entry moves the passenger  seat closer to the windshield. Some like this, others do not. They are still great coaches.

I saw this coach at FOT early in the year when we had so much fun with the air dryer.
The paint job doesn't look like either Extreme or FOT. Not just the colors.....

I visited the 2006 34' triple slide a couple of days ago. I liked the interior. There is almost no storage room in the basement. The only storage bay is about 48" wide and maybe 48" to 72" deep. All the other bays are filled with mechanical, electrical, water, and Hydro-Hot equipment. Overhead storage inside is limited because of all the slides. Be aware of the balances among features, e.g., floor space versus storage space. Different folk have different tastes and requirements.

The 2000 GV looks good in the pictures. The $20,000 to come up to "market" would allow one to do some renewal of the interior. We bought our first coach from PPL. We were pleased with the experience. We learned enough from the SOB in eight months to upgrade to a Foretravel of the same model year. The Foretravel has served us well for almost five years.

I enjoy looking at coaches. I enjoy having a functional coach with no mortgage on it.  ;D

I know the paint was not done in NAC. As I recall it was done in Colorado but it is definitely not Xtreme or FOT.

Just wondering, which tranny would this have, the 3000 or 4000 series. Since it is a GV would it be different than a standard 320 w/4060 tranny. I might also be wrong, but the comments sound like it isn't as impressive as the pictures might show???????

If the house sells this weekend (just wishing), I could be in Houston in 10 hrs. :))
