Another Monitor Problem

My monitor was working fine, (don't know if it's a Javilena or whatever) until yesterday. Turned it on and the rear camera isn't operating in the mirror image mode. I press the buttons, but no reverse image. Is it a camera, or monitor problem ?

Dave,

Depends on both the make/model and even the year.

There were both reverse imaged cameras and reverse imaged monitors.  Easy to tell-- get an adapter from whatever style connection goes into your monitor to whatever style goes into your TV and  and a short cable. See what image is displayed on your TV.

Dave,

It would help a lot to have a photo of your monitor. If the monitor has been replaced, it could be as simple as accidentally touching one of the selector buttons on the front of the monitor and switching to either mirror or inverted mode. A few rear cameras can change mode but it's usually the front monitor that does it. May need to look up the user manual online to see if any combination of buttons are needed. It might also have a reset button/hole on the back to reset to default values.

Thanks for the help. I had a spare 8" monitor, hooked it up and all is seemly well. Now figure out how to mount the critter.
