replaced water inlet connection

Our GV is still in winter mode but the weather is currently sunny and warm so I took advantage and worked on a couple of things in the sewer compartment. The original water connection did not seal unless I used a pair of pliers, I replaced it with one from Camping World, nothing fancy but now no drips.
I also removed the aged metal trim from around the small trap door, sealed the floor sidewalls and put on stainless steel gauge plate surrounds and then caulked all corner areas in the bay. I hope this keeps everything dry.

Geoff,

What did you use to seal the floor sidewalls?

What gauge steel did you use?

Okay, what did you seal the corners with?

Thanks,

Trent

Hi Trent,
I sealed all areas with caulking by Lepage - Ultra Seal, acrylic with silicone. The stainless steel I used is actually some old nameplates from our Company, we rivet them on the equipment we manufacture, they are probably 18 gauge. I will keep an eye on the caulking I used in case acrylic does not work.
