148 Gallon fuel tank drawing for 1995 U300

Anyone have a drawing of the 148 gallon fuel tank used in the 1995 U300.  The tank was made by Florida Marine Tanks Inc.

Not to be a SA, but have you tried calling Florida Marine Tanks ? I had a Boston Whaler with one of their tanks, they had the drawings to reproduce the tank.

The tank should be exactly six gallons per inch. The angle where the fuel filler is reduces it from 150 gallons.

While we're still (sorta) on the subject of fuel tanks, has anyone ever figured out how that 148 gallon capacity is measured?  Is that what the tank holds if filled up completely to the top (which is obviously impossible in the real world)?  Or, is the 148 gallons what the tank holds if filled up to the bottom of the filler neck (with tank sitting perfectly level)?  I work on the assumption that I only have about 120 gallons of "useable" fuel when I fill it up to the bottom of the filler neck.  Then you have to subtract the bottom 25% of that if you avoid going below 1/4 tank, which only leaves 90 gallons to "Bingo fuel".  90 times 8 mpg gives me a un-refueled range of 720 miles, which is about 2 days worth of hard driving for our crew (we try to do less...)

On our 03, based on the print I have for our tank, 180G seems to be the idealized "maximum" that you could get in the tank with the fuel level at the bottom of the fill tube opening .... our 180G has a around a 192 gallon total volumetric not that you can use that.

On the print it says
Tank: 190G,
Capsity: 180G,
5% expansion 9.5G

While we're still (sorta) on the subject of fuel tanks, has anyone ever figured out how that 148 gallon capacity is measured? 

Super easy if the tank is rectangular and does not have any weird shelf inside and you can put a tape measure to it. Just take the length x width x height in inches and since there are 231 cubic inches per gallon, you just take the total and stick it over the 231 and presto, you have the gallons. With our tank, there is a 45 degree angle at the top that goes across the width about the size as the neck on the filler neck. Since the filler neck is also about 45 degrees when you take the cap off, you can fill the tank almost to the top. The tank is made so the filler neck does not stick out from the tank's vertical face. This angle is where the two gallons is lost plus a tiny bit for interior baffles. Still a little tricky getting the last bit in without a bubble coming out in your face when trying squeeze the $2.39/gallon diesel in.

This way, you can calculate the 6 gallons (for a U300 tank) per inch by just doing the L x W x the height of fuel remaining in the tank in inches over 231 and you have the total in the tank. Naturally, the tank has to be level.

You can then multiply that times 7.15 (about the average for diesel depending on amount of bio diesel, etc) and get the weight of the fuel you have on board in pounds. (water is 8.35/gallon, gasoline about 6/gallon depending on alcohol content)

Bill / Barry's tank drawing ( A-4840) seems to cover the 1995 -1997 Unicoach with fuel fills on both sides.  My 1995 Unihome has a single tank fill on the curb side of the coach. I emailed Florida Marine Tank yesterday and they responded with a drawing which appears to match my tank.  Copy attached ( hopefully ).

Hadn't thought about expansion - that's a good reason for having the filler neck stick out sideways rather than vertically out the top of the tank.  Since you can never completely fill the tank, you automatically leave room in the top for expansion.

Interesting note on the drawing
